ABOUT US

 

Gateway has been a regular pit-stop for local residents and tourists traveling along Route 15 for almost 40 years. In 1983, Sterling and Linda Bollinger built the market as a means to sell the produce grown on their orchard on Kelbaugh Road in Thurmont. Eventually the candy store was added, and beer, wine, and liquor began being sold as well.

The store transitioned to the Brad & Amber Seiss Family in 2018. Amber runs the day to day functions while Bradley helps with the long-term planning and remodeling of the stores.  

​

Our store carries a wide variety of beer, wine, and liquor for all tastes a budges. Our products range from local breweries, wineries, and distilleries, to international selections. We also have extensive experience in wedding & event bar coordination and work with many venues and caterers throughout Frederick County, MD.

 

We are accompanied by The Farmhouse Exchange and Gateway Candyland, so there is something for all age groups!
